Can I be subsidized to attend the Convention?
Yes. If you are a student or a low income member you can approach your nearest EDA about being sponsored (you don’t have to live in the district). Please see the section below about sponsoring by EDAs.
Can an Electoral District Association (EDA) sponsor people’s convention costs?
Yes! Here is how it works:
An EDA can pay part or all of a member’s costs of attending the convention. This can include part or all of registration, travel, and accommodation. (The central party can not do this as it is the vendor in the transaction.)
The EDA can sponsor any GPC member (e.g. students, low income, or anyone they want) including people residing outside of the EDA (e.g. members residing where there is no EDA).
EDAs can fundraise and take donations to be used to sponsor members to attend. Donors do not have to reside in the EDA.
Travel Specials
Information regarding travel specials that the Party negotiates will be posted here.

I ran for the green party last election, and would love to do so again. Environmental stewardship and conservation is a big part or our adventure tourism business. Global warming is affecting us and our winter activities, such as ice climbing, snowkiting, snowshoeing, and anything else related to the canadian winter. This may very well be the end of winter, and the beginning of massive flooding, unacceptable global temperatures, and the displacement of hundreds of millions of people. As a business, we are at our ropes end. As a Green Party member, I am shocked at how few votes we got in our riding last election. As a human being, I am scared for our future. As a father, I am petrified for my sons future. Looking outside at the mid-january rain, I am truly depressed.
